The Maui Dad Blog: Celebrating fatherhood on Maui

Each installment of this blog will feature an interview with a dad on Maui. Through a series of simple questions, we will receive an intimate account of the triumphs and challenges of each man’s fathering experience. By sharing our insights as Maui Dads, we will be able to learn from, connect with, and support each other in being the best men we can be for our precious keiki, families and island community.

Our first interviewee, Wade Robson, is a Maui based father and valuable community member who is an inspiration to myself and many dads. Wade is a documentary filmmaker and co-owner of Maui Children’s Bookstore. He also sits on the board at Maui Family Support Services and volunteers his filmmaking and educational services to Friends of the Children’s Justice Center of Maui and Hui Malama Learning Center. My interview with Wade was an epic experience and I can’t wait to share his loving insights about fatherhood on Maui with you. Please stay tuned, this interview will be posted in just a few days.

I am excited to go on this journey of meeting Maui’s dads with all of you. I am open to feedback as to how this blog can best serve our community, so please feel free to connect with me if you have any questions or ideas. Mahalo for supporting this project by subscribing to the Maui Dad Blog and by sharing it with your friends and family.

With Love + Aloha,
Maui Dad & Family

  1. This is such a beautiful idea. There are many resources for moms online (blogs, discussion forums, resource guides) and they are even mom-specific (babywearing moms, breastfeeding moms, tandem breastfeeding moms, moms of multiples, crazy moms…you get my point) but rarely do I come across resources and platforms just for dads. Thank you for creating this and helping to make the parenting culture better! Love you and miss you xoxox
